Asics Men’s GT 2000 11 TR 2E Width

The GT-2000™ 11 2E shoe from the NATURE BATHING collection is inspired by the idea of walking through the forest. It's rendered with various colours that reflect the calming hues found in nature.

Key adjustments in the midsole include Asics’ FF BLAST™ cushioning. This soft material helps promote softer landings and a responsive rebound.

LITETRUSS™ technology is positioned on the inside of the midsole to improve stability. It helps prevent your foot from rolling too far inward (Overpronation- see below), setting you up for a smoother stride.

Lastly, the outsole's hybrid tread pattern makes this shoe functional for running on both road and trail surfaces.

Width: 2E wide. For men the standard shoe width is D, going up to a wide fitting 2E and the widest a 4E. In New Zealand the most common shoe width size for men is a 2E.

Overpronation:

Foot Type: Low arches or flat feet

Push-Off: The big toe and the second toe do most of the work.

How Your Foot Contacts the Ground: The foot lands on outside of heel, then rolls inward (pronates) excessively, transferring weight to inner edge instead of ball of the foot.

Engineered Mesh: A technical mesh material that stretches in multiple directions, creating a glove, snug like fit that provides a unique balance of comfort and fit.

Flytefoam Blast Midsole: Lightweight, midsole foam with energetic and highly responsive cushioning and bounce for an efficient ride.

Gel - Forefoot Twist: Shock absorbing material placed in forefoot of shoe. Shape of units designed for special function under the ball of the foot.

Gel - Visible Rearfoot: Reduces impact during heel strike and allows for a smooth transition. Shape of units designed for special function under the outside (lateral) side of the foot.

Internal Heel Counter: The internal plastic structure of the shoe which wraps around the heel of your foot. It holds the heel in position during the movements of running improving support.

3D Space Construction: This technology is implemented through a series of strategically planted pillars within the midsole, allowing runners to experience more compression in a specific area without reducing durability or stability. These pillar formations are tuned differently in the men's and women's models to address each gender's biomechanical data

Shoe Widths: Men's shoes are available in standard D width, then wider 2E width, then wider 4E width. Within NZ, the most popular is 2E width.
